  • What will happen once I become a member?
    The first step will be an appointment to discuss your lifestyle, check your blood pressure and body composition. Once we understand what you want to get out of your membership a personal exercise programme can be planned using the wide range of equipment available in the exercise area.

    The service does not stop there, your instructor will keep in touch to check your progress and if you are keeping up your planned number of visits!

  • What kind of skills will the team have?
    All the team has been selected for their personality and genuine desire to want to help all members. Already well qualified their knowledge is constantly updated to meet the requirements of the 'exercise register for professionals'. Recent courses have been:
    • 3 day nutrition and weight management course
    • On going NVQ training through Central Sports
    • Quarterly updates for Spinning, Body Pump, Body Combat and Body Balance
    • 2 day Pool attendant course.
    • Health and safety
    • Fire
    • Pool plant
    • Spa Operational training

  • What classes will run in the activity studio?

  • What kind of equipment will be in the exercise area?
    The Cardio Vascular equipment is Life Fitness - the foremost supplier of equipment in the world and includes:
    • 5 Treadmills
    • 4 cross trainers
    • 3 cycles
    • 2 recumbent cycle
    • 2 steppers
    • 3 concept II rowers
    • 10 Cybex resistance stations.
    • Smith Machine with up to 200kg
    • 2 x benches with dumbbell rack and barbell free weights
    • 3 x Swiss/fit balls
    • Stretching machine/floor area

  • Will personal training be available?
    Yes, Paul is an experienced and qualified in personal training. You will be able to book individual sessions or courses.

  • How do I know that I will be able to use the equipment when I want to?
    The usage of the Spa will be carefully monitored and a limited number of new members will join each month.

    As well as keeping usage at comfortable levels this will also ensure all members receive a personal service - you will have lots of questions when you first join.

    Once the membership level for the month has been reached, new members will have to wait until the next month to start using the Spa.

  • Can children use the facilities?
    Members and child guests can use the pool at 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday  to Friday and all day at the weekend. All other times are adult only.

    Child memberships are currently not available at the Spa, There is a waiting list currently in operation.


  • What facilities are in the changing areas?

    • Large individual marble showers with complimentary toiletries
    • Costume dyers,
    • Large wooden lockers with hanger and shoe space, operated via your membership card - no need for money
    • Private change area in the ladies
    • Powerful hairdryers

  • How big is the pool?
    Designed for exercise swimming the 13m x 11m pool is bigger than most hotel pools, and at a constant depth around the edge of the pool of 1.3 m you can always stay your depth.


  • What relaxation areas are there?


    • Sauna
      With colour therapy lighting - the colour will be selected depending on the time of day, red invigorating colour for the morning with more relaxing blues for the evening.
    • Steam Room
      The granite tiled steam room also features mood colours from fibre optic lighting to complement the relaxing cleansing effects of the steam.
    • Whirlpool
      After a good workout treat yourself - powerful jets of 100-f water massaging those toned muscles.
    • External whirlpool
      Your chance to relax in the great outdoors all year round.
    • Time on Your Hands!
      Use the luxury wooden loungers on the spacious poolside, if the Cheshire weather is suitable you can even move outside.
