  As part of our 25th birthday celebrations we have re- invested in our Verandah Suite - with a £1m re-modelling and development programme - ready for our grand opening in April 2010.
  
  Our all-new Verandah Suite will accommodate up to 180 guests for a wedding, and feature a spectacular glass fronted balcony - where guests can enjoy views of the surrounding countryside. • Civil weddings
  Cottons Hotel has a range of private rooms that can accommodate your civil wedding service -please contact the Weddings and Event Manager to discuss and plan your event.

  Couples wishing to hold their marriage on the premises should note the follow points:
  
  

  • As soon as provisional arrangements have been made, the couple should notify the Superintendent Registrar at Macclesfield Register Office. A fee for the Registrar's attendance will be payable by the couple, prior to the ceremony, direct to the Registrar.
    
  • The couple will also have to give notice of marriage to the Superintendent Registrar of the district in which they live. This notice must be given in person by one of the couple.
    
  • The Superintendent Registrar can only permit a civil, non-religious ceremony. Any music, readings or performances, which form any part of the ceremony, must be secular (non-religious). The content of the ceremony must be agreed in advance with the Superintendent Registrar who will be attending the ceremony.
    
    
• Renewing your marriage vows
  This is a very personal ceremony for any couple wishing to celebrate their marriage. It might be to celebrate a special anniversary, or an event for family and friends following a marriage abroad.
